Description
This reproduction follows “Portrait of a Sikh Noble”, dated early 19th century and held by Metropolitan Museum of Art. The source credits the maker as Unidentified Indian artist.
The portrait belongs to the early nineteenth century. Its album setting and courtly dress document a particular sitter’s milieu, not a universal Sikh religious appearance.
Choose an art print or an oil interpretation on canvas, then select your size and finish. The digitized composition keeps its proportions; the original object’s measurements, where known, do not limit the reproduction sizes offered.
The original object’s medium is recorded below using the museum’s terminology. A manuscript, drawing or print reproduced on canvas is an interpretation of that document; its original paper, silk, pigments and gilding are not the materials of the reproduction.
