Our Story
Great art should live in your home, not only behind museum glass or in private collections. That is the belief that founded The Painting Studio.
Who We Are
The Painting Studio connects art lovers with a curated network of fine art painters, each trained in classical techniques and specialised in a specific movement, to deliver faithful hand-painted oil reproductions of iconic masterworks.
From Monet’s impressionist light to the golden mystery of Klimt, from Rembrandt’s chiaroscuro drama to the symbolic richness of Mucha, every piece is painted by hand on linen canvas, using the same materials and multi-layer techniques as the original masters.
Our Mission
Museum-quality painting should not be a luxury reserved for the few. Our mission is to make faithful reproductions of the world’s greatest works accessible to every art lover, at a fraction of gallery prices.
Each commission directly supports a working fine art painter. Our network of 20+ artists, graduates of national fine arts schools across Europe and Asia, dedicate their craft to keeping classical painting alive.
Why The Painting Studio
Each artist specialises in a specific movement: Impressionism, Baroque, Renaissance, Art Nouveau. This ensures deep technical mastery of every style we offer.
Fine-grain linen canvas, solid wood stretcher frames, and oil paints with natural pigments. The same materials used by the Flemish masters, sourced from heritage suppliers.
Every canvas is painted in multiple layers: primer, sketch, glazing and finishing, following the technique specific to each movement. No shortcuts. No prints. Pure craftsmanship.
Every painting ships with a signed certificate of authenticity specifying the reproduced work, the artist’s name, materials used, and creation date. Fully documented, always.
Our Creation Process
Artwork Study
We begin with high-resolution documentation of the original and, when possible, direct study visits to reference museums. Every detail, from impasto texture to chromatic nuance and brushstroke direction, is analysed before the brush ever touches the canvas.
Material Selection
Fine-grain linen canvas, solid wood frames, and museum-quality oil paints with natural pigments. We source exclusively from heritage suppliers trusted by fine art institutions. The same materials the Flemish masters chose centuries ago.
Hand-Painted Execution
The artist works in multiple successive layers: primer, sketch, glazing and finishing, following the technique specific to each movement. A canvas takes between 10 and 20 days of focused work, depending on its complexity and dimensions.
Quality Control & Certification
Every canvas undergoes rigorous review before shipment and is accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity specifying the reproduced work, the materials used, and the creation date. Nothing leaves our studios without passing our quality standard.
Our Artists
Our network brings together over twenty painters, graduates of national fine arts schools across Europe and Asia. Each artist specialises in a specific movement: some excel in the Flemish masters, others in French Impressionism, or the symbolic compositions of the late 19th century.
Working from their private studios, they dedicate their craft entirely to making great painting accessible. Their passion for classical art is what guarantees the quality of every reproduction we deliver.
