Description
A reproduction after Johann König’s The Resurrection of Christ, dated 1622 and held by the Cleveland Museum of Art (2017.192). The painting interprets the Christian narrative of the Resurrection through the gestures and contrasts of an early seventeenth-century composition. It belongs to the reception of the narrative, not to contemporary documentation of an ancient event.
Choose a print or a hand-painted oil reproduction, the finish and the size in the configurator. Offered formats preserve the proportions of the original, approximately 46 × 61 cm. This is a reproduction rather than the original museum painting.
