Description
This reproduction follows “Confucius at the Apricot Altar”, dated Mid-17th century and held by Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The source credits the maker as Kanō Tan’yū (1602–1674).
The central painting of a three-part ensemble represents an ancient Chinese teacher through the visual language of seventeenth-century Japan.
Choose an art print or an oil interpretation on canvas, then select your size and finish. The digitized composition keeps its proportions; the original object’s measurements, where known, do not limit the reproduction sizes offered.
The original object’s medium is recorded below using the museum’s terminology. A manuscript, drawing or print reproduced on canvas is an interpretation of that document; its original paper, silk, pigments and gilding are not the materials of the reproduction.
