The Bookworm by Carl Spitzweg — Hand-Painted Oil Reproduction on Canvas

It depends on the option you choose at the top of this page. With the Oil Painting option the canvas is painted entirely by hand in oils by a fine-art trained artist and ships with a signed certificate of authenticity. With the Print option you receive a reproduction printed on synthetic canvas, without that certificate.

The ten sizes offered follow the real proportions of the original work, so a portrait like the Mona Lisa is not offered in the same boxes as a landscape like The Night Watch. The shorter side never goes below 30 cm. For a made-to-measure format, contact us before ordering.

Yes. Three options: rolled in a tube, stretched over a solid pine frame ready to hang, or framed with one of twenty mouldings. The supplement is shown on each option and does not depend on the size.

Yes. The works we reproduce are in the public domain. The original artist’s signature is never imitated: our painter signs the reproduction under their own name.
