Description
This reproduction follows “Righteousness, from The Five Virtues”, dated 1767 and held by Cleveland Museum of Art. The source credits the maker as Suzuki Harunobu (Japanese, 1724–1770).
Harunobu gives a classical ethical title to an Edo-period scene of young male courtesans studying a drawing manual. The print documents the virtues’ migration into commercial urban imagery, not a Chinese academy.
Choose an art print or an oil interpretation on canvas, then select your size and finish. The digitized composition keeps its proportions; the original object’s measurements, where known, do not limit the reproduction sizes offered.
The original object’s medium is recorded below using the museum’s terminology. A manuscript, drawing or print reproduced on canvas is an interpretation of that document; its original paper, silk, pigments and gilding are not the materials of the reproduction.
