The Painter

Benozzo Gozzoli

1420–1497 · Florentine · Italian Renaissance

Benozzo Gozzoli (1420–1497) was a Florentine painter whose work has passed into the public domain. That is what lets this studio reproduce it — any of the paintings listed below can be painted by hand, in oils on linen canvas.

Associated with Italian Renaissance.

Reproducing this painter

Renaissance oil is a slow medium worked in transparent layers, each left to cure before the next. Form is modelled by accumulation rather than drawn, so the work cannot be hurried without showing.
