The Painter
Armand Seguin
1869–1903 · French · Pont-Aven School
Armand Seguin (1869–1903) was a French painter whose work has passed into the public domain. That is what lets this studio reproduce it — any of the paintings listed below can be painted by hand, in oils on linen canvas.
Associated with Pont-Aven School.
Reproducing this painter
The Post-Impressionists kept the pure colour and dropped the optical realism, using distortion and heavy paint to carry feeling and structure. The surface is often thick enough to hold the mark of the brush, which is precisely what a print cannot give you.
